There are two small paintings that seem to coordinate with this description, one with just chickens, and the other with ducks. Unsure if this name/title fits both of these paintings, or refers to another painting entirely. The painting with the chickens depicts a set of stairs on the left side that descend to a flat area in the center, and what appears to be a barred chicken enclosure with a small opening on the right. The wall on the left has one small chain hanging. On the ground, in the center is one large black chicken and five small chicks that peck at the ground. On the right, a white and black chicken exists the coop or enclosure. On the left, a rooster stands on the stairs, with its body angled toward the ground as well. The painting with the ducks is set outdoors, with a small body of water. In the foreground is this water. On the right is the bank, with two different kinds of vegetation, and two ducks. The duck closer to the viewer faces in profile to the left, with its head lowered to drink. The duck behind also stands in profile, with its head angled upwards. To the left are two more reclining ducks, and another piece of flowering vegetation. In the background there is a rise of the ground, potentially a hill. Behind this is the blue and white sky.
