Untitled (Study of Six Horse Legs) [1862]

Untitled (Study of Six Horse Legs): Study of six different views of a horse's leg, its muscles, and tendons. The lower leftmost leg faces bent in profile toward the right. Above that is another bent leg that faces the left. In the center is a leg that faces away from the viewer, with a view of the horseshoe underneath. To the right, the lowest study focuses solely on the joint/knee of a horse's leg. Above that are two more legs that are more extended than the two on the other side. The legs are heavily shaded with cross hatching to render the shadows. There is no other background. The page is signed "C.M.C" in the lower left corner.
