Opportunities for involvement were certainly plentiful this year, not only through the numerous committees of ASB, but also by taking part in the many ASB sponsored activities. During Christmas vacation Col-Hi clubs sponsored various activities. The climax of "Christmas Week" was the Bomber Booster ASB dinner-dance, which, hopefully, will become an annual affair at Col-Hi. The 1 973-74 school year also heralded the return of the Soc-Hop, and Saturday night at the movies became the place to go. Inter-school relations also got a big boost this year through Tri- City Inter-High, as Col-Hi emerged as one of the leading figures of this miniature U.N. Another new innovation this year was our spring leadership camp. Of all our activities this year, the camp was my favorite. Here I had the opportunity to meet and work with those students who will be taking on the responsibilities of the ASB in the next few years. I hope you will give them the support and cooperation that you gave us this year. On behalf of the ASB officers I would like to extend our thanks to you for your support." "This past year I've tried to fulfill my campaign promises of more student involvement and putting some purpose into the ASB. 1 f The 1973-74 school year saw the opening of the student lounge, and as time passed it became the place to be during lunch and after school In October many couples enjoyed one of the most successful Homecoming dances in years. Over Thanksgiving students enjoyed our Thanksgiving Hoedown. Secretary; (not shown) "Columbia High School's Pep Club is made up of a group of Sophomore. Junior, and Senior Girls whose main purpose is to promote school spirit. The girls are expected to attend all home football and basketball games and function as an organized nucleus for the student cheering section. They also support other sports, but not necessarily as a group. Other duties of the membership include the sale of programs at home games, and acting as guardian angels to coaches, athletes, and managers in the various sports during their season.
