Our House by J.H. Macpherson (1953)

"Our House" by J.H. Macpherson (1953): The painting depicts a serene rural scene with a quaint, two-story white house surrounded by bare trees casting long shadows, suggesting either early morning or late afternoon light. The ground is covered with reddish-brown leaves, indicating an autumn setting. On the dirt path leading to the porch, a few chickens are pecking around, adding life to the otherwise tranquil setting. A small outbuilding is seen in the background, subtly enhancing the rustic charm of the landscape.

#18 Our House This is the frame house in which I was raised. We left the farm when I was seventeen. My grandfather Macpherson built the house. It was a fine house for those days. It still stands on Church road in Wayne, but has been remodeled and enlarged.
