a) Painting (Jim Gray #56) by Louis E. Jones, oil on canvas board, shows golden autumn field spanning width with seven bundled cornstalks (three in foreground, four in background) pumpkins scattered throughout, red-and-copper tree line in background that dips at center to reveal land at a distance (possibly crest of hill), robin's egg-blue sky with yellow-green undertones, perhaps sunset (or dawn), paint thickest/most textured in stacks and in leaves, signed "LE JONES / 1915" at bottom left corner, 8"h x 10"w sight line, 1915.
b) Frame, gold-painted wood with red showing through, decorative rounded notch pattern close to inner edge, frame fans out creating basin, marked #56 in ink at upper left back corner and #19 / #3567 in pencil parallel to right back edge, cardboard backing behind painting, 13"h x 15"w x 1 3/4"d.Collection
