a-b) "Nut-Pig" hand carved by prisoner at Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, acorn body, wooden eyes, ears, legs, tail and removable snout, 1"h x 1 1/4"w x 1 1/4"d, c. 1940. 7/12/2008--According to Nancy Siler (Mrs. Tom), the game was to take the pig's snout out and place a live fly inside the nut, quickly replacing the snout. The pig's ears would wiggle as long as the fly fluttered inside.
