Studebaker Junior miniature farm wagon used at Tate Spring resort, green-painted wood box marked "STUDEBAKER / JUNIOR" in gold with red shadowing on long sides/gold pinstriping around border of front/back/sides/red-painted wood hand pole and metal wheels/undercarriage, all parts braced and bolted, removable seat and ends, sides of box reinforced with hardwood uprights, wheels fitted with steel tires and hardwood spokes, heavy steel axles,
box (facing the front) - 21"h x 17"w x 36"d plus 45"l hand pole, overall wagon - ?"h x 26"w (axle to axle) x 45"d, 12" diam. front wheels, 18" diam. rear wheels, 60 lbs., Studebaker Mfg. Co. (South Bend),* c. 1919.
* According to Worthpoint.com article, having "Miniature" on the side means it is a Studebaker-built wagon, rather than one made at the South Bend Toy Co. (South Bend).
Note: according to seller Lani Tomlinson Davis, the wagon is all original with the exception of her father touching up and repainting the wheels.
9/15/15 - Learned that the wagon would originally have had a seat that was higher than the box sides; no longer in place.Collection
