Collection of cut fabric for quilt blocks and quilt patterns (some cut from newspaper and grocery bags), late 1930s-late 1950s (maybe into the 1960s-1970s).
Pattern reads: " 4 per square of rectangular piece. all same/ color./ 4 per square of big triangular piece all same/ color./ 1 per square of the little square piece./ 12 white pieces per square of the little triangular piece/ 24 colored " " " " " " " " / (up arrow) all same color/ (obverse) rough graph of a finished/ square." Includes sketch of the square and pieces. Cut fabric includes: 1 white square, 28 colored squares 258 white/ ecru triangles. Paper templates for fabric: Triangles (7.625in x 3.875in), Square (2.125in x 2.25in) and small triangle (3.25in x 1.5in). All made from several layers of magazine pages that have been sewn together.
