Quilt made by Florence Day McKamey, pattern name unknown, pastel with stylized star blocks. Top fabrics are dress cottons and feed sacks. Background color is a pale green; multicolored cloth used to make small stars (6.5in x 6.5in). Backing is printed feedsack--a pastel floral print (pink and green flowers with yellow leaves on a white background. Binding is back to front, providing a half inch border. A 4.5in x 5.5in patch in corner of backing does not match the rest of the material. Quilting is on the diagonal.1930s-1940s.

Very tiny pieces used; lots of scrap fabrics. Nice green behind pieced blocks. Very traditional example of Tennessee quilt from 1930s. Well done.Collection
