Baseball socks ("men's hose") worn by John Monroe Clark, striped in salmon, lime green, purple and black, factory made, 24"h x 9 1/4"w at foot, 1894. [Outer wrapping paper marked "John's baseball suit 1894," packaged with 2004.6.23] Per appraiser John Coker: "It is rare to find this sort of baseball uniform."
