.5 Sugar bowl with separate lid, extra silver plate, uses Greek key design over pattern resembling basket weave, engraved "Hoxsie" in Old English font on front center nameplate, marked 6XX9.7 on interior lid, base stamped "[original manufacturer's name-rendered illegible] / COMPANY with "No. / 1835 / 5 [scratched out]" centered between, attached metal tag marked "ROGERS & BRO. [with star at either end] / EXTRA PLATE / WATERBURY CT.," base also marked 6XX9-7, manufactured by Rogers & Bro. (Waterbury, Conn.), 11 3/8"h x 7 1/2"w w/lid, 1866. Appears original manufacturer's name is rubbed out; attached metal tag shows Rogers & Bro.
a) Bowl, urn shape base with beaded borders between bands of decoration, two large curved handles with ornate leaf shapes end in turned down, 8 1/4"h x 7 1/2"w.
b) Lid, small bead border flares to finial with very small beaded edge, ovals and arches, tapers to cone shape top with leaves and beads, turned under bottom edge, 3 1/8"h x 3 1/4" diam..Made/Created
