Plane (cuts a groove, 1/4"w groove), beech wood, wood rectangle with square front and rounded back, cutting blade with rounded end, stamped front marked "Mfgr. J.H. Wheeler 72," back stamped "MAH 5" horizontally "W.H. Wheeler" diagonally, Scioto Works (NY, brand name used by Ohio Tool Co., 1893-1907), 5 3/4"h x 9 1/2"w x 1 1/4"d, 1893-1907.
