Britton, Army issue Model 1918 (simplified from 1917), olive drab wool, stand-up collar with two large hook-and-eye closures, epaulets pointed with eagle button, single breasted with darts for shaping, five dark metal buttons with eagle seal down front, four patch pockets with button flaps, back princess seamed, two-part sleeve with overlap seam on back sleeve, blackened U.S. collar insignia with NA, oval handmade division patch of the 30th Infantry/"O" with "H" inside [for Old Hickory] and XXX centered at middle of H, blue letters and Roman numerals on scarlet red background/(incorrectly) sewn on horizontally on proper left sleeve instead of vertically, six months' government-issue overseas service chevron sewn to lower left sleeve, illegible label inside neckline, collar lined with cotton twill, cotton cloth reinforces pocket flaps, unknown manufacturer, 29"h x 19"w, WWI/1917.Made/Created
