Child's colonial-style costume worn by Mary Evelyn Luallen (or her brother) probably at Belle Morris School event, cloth/metal/plastic/paper, size indicates a 10-12 year old, handmade by mother Lula Elkins Luallen, c. 1932-1934. a) Frock coat, black cotton, open collar with stand-up collar at back, turn back cuffs and lace ruffle at sleeve ends, brass-color buttons on cuffs, 38"h x 14"w b) Vest, white cotton, V-neck, stand-up collar, black fob pockets, black buttons, shorter at back, 21"h x 16"w at chest. c) Jabot, white cotton and lace, two-tier band for neck with scalloped lace ruffle, 17"h x 13"w. d) Buckle, foil-covered paper, 2"h x 2 5/8"w.
