Description

a) Brace b) Bit Brace and bit which probably served as an old drill. Bottom of bit looks like a a very small screw. Spiral of bit then becomes much wider. Bit is fit into a cylinder portion at the bottom of the brace and held in place with a small wedge of metal. Cylinder turns into a narrow metal shaft that curves up and around to form a handgrip for the brace one handgrip is a wooden cylinder fixed into the curve of the brace. The other hand grip is a small wooden disk fixed to the top of th brace. Disk has a wheat stalk pattern on it. Metal cylinder at bottom of brace can be unscrewed to release bit.
