Description

American Airlines ashtray of Esther Carlson, silver-colored metal, round ashtray base with American Airlines eagle logo at center front, double notched (for cigarettes) at top rim and with double grooved exterior, curved pylon at rear extends above to hold cast model of DC-3 airplane (with three-blade propellers that spin) in banked position, "AA" eagle logo on both sides of fuselage and "AA" logo at top left wing (all markings in teal), logo plaque colored teal/red/black, bottom marked "AIRTRAY / MFG. BY / V.F. PASTUSHIN CO. / SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA," 3 3/4"h x 8 1/8"w x 5 1/4"d, 1939-1940.
