Field pack belonging to Robert Barnes "Bob" LaForge Jr. (1885-1956), cloth/leather/metal, Model-1910 made for U.S. Army, place for mess kit at upper outside/held in place by entrenching tool, tail (apron) for holding bedding, marked "U.S," outside top marked "U.S." with printed initial "H.B.P." on inside strap below, inside tail marked "LONG/8-18," marked "F.H."(?) on upper mid-section on proper left, inside top marked "R.I.A. / 1917," manufactured by R.I.A. [Rock Island Arsenal (New York)]*, 42"h x30"w x 1/8"d, 1917.
