Description

Flying shuttle, light wood (perhaps dogwood) with darker wood accent/metal/plastic/animal fur, "WOOD" behind first brass hole, "811" behind next brass hole, '[superimposed] SH" and "1122 14" at plain hole at rear, large opening at center with 6" length of light-color fur on bottom front and 3 1/2" length of dark-color fur on top back, loops of nylon or plastic thread attached at top and bottom behind fur, shuttle blanks made by Tallent Block Mills (Bearden/Knoxville)/shuttle manufacturer unknown (said to be North Carolina), 2 1/4"h x 18 1/2"w x 1 1/2"d, possibly 1950s-1960s.
