a) Jacket, lightweight wool gabardine underlined in black cotton, Mandarin collar, two-piece fitted puff sleeves with plain edge and vent and inverted pleat detail at front and back, mix of hand and machine sewing, 20 1/2"h x 14 1/2"w.
b) Skirt, matching fabric underlined with light-brown cotton, stiffened with 5"h buckram at hem, waistband threaded with elastic (which may have been added later), five gore, hook-and-eye closure, seams hand finished, hem faced in heavier black wool, handmade, 36"h x 14"w.Made/Created
