a) Smooth plane No. 24, metal (cast iron) frame, wood (beech) base and knob, Japaned frame/lacquered wood parts, marked "STANLEY / PAT. APL. 19.92 [1892] on metal frame, "STANLEY / RULE & VEL CO. / NO. 24" marked on base fron, manutactured by Stanley Rule & Level, ?h x 9"w x 2 1/4"d, probably early Teens-1920s/maybe as early as 1900. Good for roughing out wheelwright stuff. Has been used a lot, at least 1/4" missing from base * per ETHS Collections Committee member/tool expert Buford Blanton, 10/10/2017 b) Blade c) Wedge Formerly C
