Teapot, quadruple silverplate, squat oriental-inspired body with raised and incised trailing floral design, finial on hinged lid almost torso like/outstretched arms and small ball on top, heavily decorated handle and spout with raised designs, heat insulators on handle, hallmark (circle with lion)* and "Meriden Silver Plate Co. Quadruple Plate" at center base/numbers "7" to right and "1431" underneath, manufactured by Meriden Silver Company (Meriden, Conn.), 6 3/8"h x 8 5/8"w x 5"d, late 19th-early 20th century (prior to 1930). * mark used until 1930
