Description

Reproduction French and Indian War-era officer's knee breeches used by reenactor Sam Reed, 100% scarlet dyed wool*, flat front with one button at corern, shaped waistband/wider at center front, three-button straight fly with two detachable strap buckles, lined with brown linen with two button closure, back waist adjustable with three hand-worked eyelets on each side of split waistband and secured with rawhide leather strip, self-fabric band around leg ends with brass buckle, five-button side flap, back blousy and gathered to waistband, pewter buttons, French seams/enclosed raw edges, made by Sam Reed (during the winter of 2006-2007), 2007. * purchased from vendor attending one of the Fort Loudoun Trade Fairs; believed by maker to be commercially dyed.
