Poem written on 8 1/2" by 11" paper with no lines displaying an illustration at top of a log cabin that is centered at top but slightly to the left, title is directly underneath drawing "My Log Cabin Home", under title is the poem which is constructed in two columns, with eight paragraphs total, four lines in each paragraph, at the bottom right the maker wrote, "Composed by Louisa Walker/ Illustrated by Hettie Walker/ Route 7 Sevierville, Tenn." Provenance: The poem was purchased for 25 cents by donor's grandparents, Helen and Monte Coulter, who visited the Walker Sister cabin on a trip in 1946 or 1947. "They had rented from an Ogle who took them to meet the Walker Sisters from whom for a quarter they purchased the poem and picture. it passed to my dad in 1984 and then to me in 2000".Collection
