Edison cylinder phonograph/Amberola, varnished golden oak-veneer cabinet with hinged domed lid, hand crank on right side, wind-up spring motor, enclosed metal horn oriented forward, metal ID plate on inside left lid marked "THOMAS A. EDISON/ AMBEROLA/ PATENTED NOV. 17, 1903; MAY 22, 1906; FEB. 28, 1911; NOV. 28, 1911; MARCH 11, 1913; MAY 7, 1918/ 30 SM - 218137/ THOMAS A. EDISON, INC., ORANGE, N.J., U.S.A.," model number 30, serial number 218137, Edison scroll logo decal marked "Thomas A. Edison/ Amerola" in gilt script letters on interior back lid, arm holding needle moved from left to right on metal rod, 13"h x 12 1/2"w x 16"d, c. 1918. In working order; (hard to come by per sound archivist Brad Reeves, TAMIS, 2/25/11) needle needs replacing.
