Description

Milk scale from the Indian Summer Jersey Farm of Oscar McKamey, round disk fitted onto shaft that lowers into the body of scale when object placed on top, black metal with gold stripe detailing on sides, front dial has movable pointer, dial marked O to 19 and stamped "U.S. SCALE" and "PAT'D 1877," knob below adjusts pointer, cylinder top marked "NORTH BROS.M'F'G. CO. PHILA. PA. U.S.A./ PATENT NOV. 6, 1877, JUNE 29, 1881" in raised lettering, interior structure can be seen from base, 9 1/2"h x 7"w x 7 1/4"d, used on farm prior to WWII, most likely by 1930s/1892?-1920?
