Two-piece mourning outfit--blouse and skirt--perhaps owned by Eliza Fox Collier, c.1880s-1920.
a) Black faille high-neck bodice, long sleeve, double breasted, fabric-covered metal button on center panel (three sets, total of six buttons), tucks at waistline, front and back sewn to indise band, hidden metal hooks and eyes at front closing, 23"h x 17 1/4"w.
b) Five gore black taffeta skirt with three gathered tiers with covered piping at top of each tier, back opening waistband with two hook-and-eye closing, 39"h x 14"w.
c) Strip of cotton eyelet lace sewn to cotton band, 1 3/4"h x 14"w. At time of donation, pinned inside collar.Made/Created
