Quilt top by Mary Elizabeth Scott McConnell or Ann Dunlap McConnell, Rocky Road to Kansas pattern, cotton prints, uses string method, complicated pattern of diamonds (four different fabrics--wine floral (32), tan and pink strip floral (30), red and black large floral (20), half diamonds and light periwinkle blue (10 full and 5 half)/triangles/strips of mixed fabrics, probably assembled on paper backing of same size of fabric pieces/then paper is removed machine and hand quilting,1900s-1910s. Has a make-do feel, 88"h x 60"w, 1890-1910s. One diamond shape in red and black large floral sewn wrong side out 9" from bottom at right side.Collection
