B&W. Haiwee Reservoir during the construction of the second aqueduct (1965-1970). Stones arranged in circles, evidence of early settlers.
Reverse: Handwritten in ink: Photo taken when lower Haiwee Reservoir was drained to provide for necessary work preparatory to the building of the "second barrel" of the Los Angeles Aqueduct--from Owens Valley to Los Angeles. In the area I found parts of purple bottles, horseshoes, and hand forged iron that indicated a ranch or stage station had once existed and the stones had once been the foundations of corrals or ranch structures.
