Photo postcard titled, "Main Street, Bishop, Cal." The Keough's City market, the Bargain Store, Candy Factory, [illegible] Inyo Store, and the Valley View Hotel are all visible. There are two people driving two wagons or buggies along the wide, dirt street. Someone has written "1911" in blue ink on top left corner, but photo may be pre-1910. It has two cancellation stamps, both dated Jan. 6, 1911, but one is from Lone Pine and the other is from Bishop. It was sent with a green, one cent Benjamin Franklin stamp to Mrs. F. French in Lone Pine from Marguerite MacIver. It is stamped on the back with, "Osborn and Skinner, Photographers, Tonopah, Nevada."
"Dear Beryl: Mamma told me to tell you to be sure and come up and stay with us when you are going to join the lodge. How did you get over the effects of the dance? We did not want to come home but it was a ease to have to. I had a fine time at the dance. Goodbye. Marguerite MacIver."Photograph Details
