Small glazed crockery jar with "One-Third Qt. Churn / Elliott-Brant Rancho Buttermilk / Owensmouth / Wash and Return" in blue. Owensmouth was a community (no longer in existence) where the Los Angeles Aqueduct carrying Owens River water terminated.
