Photo of a train in the desert. It has a full head of black smoke coming out of its smokestack. There is an engine, a tender car, and three ore cars visible. Written in ink on a slip of paper affixed to reverse: Train, Death Valley Junction, taken in 1921 during a violent san-- [sandstorm?]. Written in pencil on reverse: Tonopah and Tidewater Railroad. Notes written on photo envelope include "Death Valley Railroad [T&T Railroad crossed out]" and "sandstorm."
