Color photo postcard of the Eastern California Museum building on Grant Street that was constructed in 1968. On reverse: The colorful history of the mountain and desert country of Eastern California is portrayed in the large collection of Western Americana and Indian artifacts in the Eastern California Museum, 144 Grand [sic] Street, Independence, Calif. The Museum is sponsored by the Eastern California Museum Association. It is headquarters for the Inyo County Museums Department. (Photo by Henry Raub) Distributor: Another Chris Card. This postcard was sent from Wandalee to R. M. Nickell of Glendale, CA. The cancellation stamp is dated Dec 1973 from Independence and it has a one cent Thomas Jefferson stamp and also a five cent John Muir Conservationist stamp.
