Three-page letter (on two pieces of paper) written in green ink by Norman Clyde to Nelson Nies on July 2, 1931. Letter has been folded several times, but is overall in good to fair condition. There are pencil notes throughout the letter where the recipiant has clarified some of Norman Clyde's writing.

Dear Mr. Nies:
In regard to your query in your recent letter relating to Mt. Huxley, I would say that I made a first ascent of Mt. Huxley in 1920 but failed to build a carin.
