Luther Henry Dearborn was one of three brothers of the wealthy Dearborn family of Chicago. His brothers Oscar and Bob were leading doctors at the Dearborn Hospital in Chicago. Luther met Elizabeth Ann Strang while she was working for his family in Chicago. They were married in San Francisco in 1858. They left SF and went to Bridgeport and later moved to Bodie where Luther was Sheriff and also had mining claims. When a big strike was made in Aurora the Dearborns moved there and built their home.Collection
