Description

Mounted image of a man who is identified as John C. Breckinridge (1821-1875). He was appointed Confederate Secretary of War in 1865. This print is very similar to one taken by Matthew Brady in 1860. Published by J. O'Kane of New York. Written in pencil on reverse: Breckinridge rebel.
