Description

B&W. Photo of a large group of men and women (who are cooking) at the aqueduct. Front says, "Chow LA Aqueduct" and "In the bread line on the last day." Photographer was Detrick of Bishop. Taken during the Occupation of the Alabama Gates. Reverse: Handwritten in ink: Women preparing and serving the men stationed at the Alabama Spillway when citizens diverted waters from Los Angeles aqueduct Nov. 1924. Ladies fed the group for 4 days. Nov 16-20, 1924.
