Exterior photograph of 35 (or more) men and women unloading suitcases from the backs of several trucks at Lone Pine Station. Behind the trucks you can see the tops of several passenger train cars, and behind that snow covered Inyo Mountains. The people are wearing winter coats, and there is snow and slush on the ground. The label below the photo indicates these people are headed for Tule Lake from Lone Pine Station in Winter, 1943.
The smiling woman on the far right with a headscarf holding a blanket may be Grace Hori, and the man who is holding up his hat in front of her may be her husband Kiyoshi. They were potentially identified by Michael Okamura on 05/28/2008, a nephew of theirs. Kiyoshi and Grace Hori were transferred to Tule Lake.Photograph Details
