Label says: "The tramline terminal in Saline Valley about 1913. Salt was transported from the salt field to the terminal in small rail cars and piled high awaiting loading into tramline buckets for the thirteen and a half mile trip over the Inyo Mountains. The tramline begins beneath the tower at the left of the photo."
