Handwritten in ink on reverse: In top right corner Aria Romero. Information from Jeremy Warner on 06/30/25: The Rock Drilling Contest was won by my Great-Great-Grandfather Albert Sainz (in the big black hat swinging the hammer), the father of Lena Pampel Sainz. The rock from the contest is still in Lone Pine next to the Totem Cafe at the stop light. The pine tree next to it was planted by Allen Warner, my dad, when he worked for Inyo County.
