Photo postcard titled, "Independence." It shows the third courthouse on the left with the dirt, tree-lined road running beside it. It was postmarked in Independence on March 11, 1908 and has a green one cent Benjamin Franklin stamp. It was mailed to Mary Singlaub in Salem, Ohio from Minnie [Brooks] and says, "Phillip is some better today. Will write to John tomorrow. This shows Court House and looking down our Main Street. I think baby will improve on his new feed."
