Larged framed panorama photo with brass plate affixed to bottom center frame that says, "Dedication of El Camino Sierra Aug. 31st 1910 by Honorable J. N. Gillett Governor of California Under Auspices of Inyo Good Road Club." It was taken by A. A. Forbes, who signed it in the lower left corner. The photo was taken along the highway with men on the right, twelve cars, and numerous men and women on the the left, trees and more people in the background. They are posing next to the road sign for El Camino Sierra. The sign has been mounted in a stone carin.
Frame is wood, painted black; back is covered with brown paper with evidence of at least two previous layers of backing paper; mat is green speckled texture, opening has been edged in black ink which has run into mat on lower left edge.
There was a paper label/tag affixed to the back that says, "[Illegible word, starts with G] 1916 8th Ave." Label is now in the accession folder.
This photo previously hung in the county offices for many years and was recently returned [or given--no prior record of it found as of 2019] to the museum.
