Picture of the Board of Supervisors of Inyo County for the years 1899-1900. Picture was taken during July meeting in either 1899 or 1900. From left to right: James Jones, Big Pine Sup. 3rd District; N. J. Cooley, Bishop Sup. 1st District; A. C. Freeman, Chairman, Sup. 2nd District; T. H. Henebry, Ballarat, Sup. 5th District; J. J. Stewart, Lone Pine, Sup. 4th District.
The terms of Supervisors Freeman, Henebry, and Stewart expired with the year 1900. None sought re-election. Freeman was succeeded by W. P. Yaney, Henebry was succeeded by J. A. McKenzie, and Stewart was succeeded by T. C. Boloand. Supervisor James Jones was elected Chairman at the January meeting for 1900, and served as such for many years.
