Mounted photo of a large group of men in front of a wooden building only identified as "Independence building." There are three young trees planted in front of the building, a covered porch held up by four posts, and three double doors with transom windows above each. People identified in the photo include: Charles Robinson, Boots Conklin, Johnny Baxter, Mike Lasky, and J. J. Gunn. The building may have also housed a barber shop, as there is a striped pole leaning against the left side of the building.
Written in pencil on back of photo: "Johnie Irwin paid. Dear Sir, these pictures are very pooly [poor? poorly?] so if I come to Independence anymore I will make it over free of charges. Jim Bledsoe."
The mounting is very damaged and is missing the upper right corner and the entire left side.Collection
