Mounted bust-length studio portrait of a man. He is identified on the reverse as Ollie Dearborn, born July 29, 1872 in Aurora, NV. The photo was taken in 1924.
Someone (the donor?) has written "brother" on the reverse.
A note on the archival envelope says Ollie Dearborn is Ethel Olivas' father.
Ollie Dearborn was born in Aurora, NV in 1872. He came to Lone Pine with his family from Aurora in 1889. Ollie was in the packing business for many years in the high Sierras. Freighted with his team of eight horses from Keeler to Mojave and also Darwin and Cerro Gordo. As a young man he lived in Lone Pine and up to the time of his death in 1944. In 1901 Ollie Dearborn married Lottie Pettenetti of Lone Pine. They had eight children.Collection
