Painting on drywall of Benkei and Ushiwakamaru, part of a triptych by Henry Masauke Kumano, 48" x 69.5". At various times labeled "1955.01-ManzPaint 07" and "ECM 07" in loan paperwork. Condition Report and Treatment Proposal from the Intermountain Regional Museum Services Program: The object is a painting on drywall, artist unknown. It is the center of a triptych depicting a samurai warrior. This portion depicts the head and proper right side of the samurai, a woman's foot, train of her robe, a wall, and branch of a pine tree. There is no frame present. There are maroon painted edges along the top and bottom, with a portion of unpainted wallboard along the bottom, below the painted edge. There are drips in the paint, and some limited use of impasto.
