Description

Mules shown hauling a section of power house machinery in the area of San Francisquito Canyon on the southern end of the Los Angeles Owens River Aqueduct. Stamped in black ink on reverse with Dept. of Water & Power stamp and photograph/negative number H-13. Stamped in green ink on reverse with "a photographic copy by Merge Studios" and an LA address. The San Francisquito Power House was washed away in 1928 when the St. Francis Dam collapsed. [source?]
