1998.25.1Description
Photo postcard sent to Mrs. Tillie Couch of Bishop, care of Hellen Matlick, from her sister, Jennie. It has a green one cent Benjamin Franklin stamp and is postmarked from Goldfield, NV on October 17, 1908. The image on the front of the postcard is a studio portrait of a man with "W. A. Ingalls for Sheriff" written at the bottom. It was likely a campaign advertisment. The body of the letter mentions Alvord and "how lively things are [in] Goldfield."
W. A. Ingalls' wife was named Jennie (01/28/1860-04/12/1938). Could the author of the postcard be Mrs. Ingalls?Collection
