Above, 20x100-foot barracks as they looked before being sold for $333.13. Right, Joseph Guzman and his wife June sit on lumber they bought and study plans for new house.
Caption #2: Like Hiroshima--Above photo encompasses about 10 square blocks of Manzanar. Dwellings have been knocked down. Center was built in 1942 at a cost of $3,800,000. Left, crane loads trusses on trucks. Only 12 Los Angeles veterans got in on the sle, which closed Wednesday.Collection
