Photo postcard of a house, fence, tress, and snow-covered Sierra Nevada mountain range in background. It is titled, "Chaffey Place, Independence." It was written in black ink from Minnie [Brooks] to John [Singlaub] and says, "This is one of the ranches near here. Min." This postcard was likely written circa 1908, before John Singlaub and his family moved to the Owens Valley in 1909.
