Photo postcard titled, "Summit Westgard Pass, Ele. 7,276 ft." taken by photographer H. W. Mendenhall and given his ID #81a. it shows an early automobile parked by a lone tree with three signs. The sign hanging from the tree says, "75 Miles to Goldfield Garage." The sign in the middle is mostly illegible, but says "Midland Trail / Auto Club of So. Cal." The third sign on the right appears to be an Inyo Good Roads Club sign (like A508.1 and 1975.91.3) and it says, "Westgard Pass named for A. L. Westgard in recognition of distinguished service rendered. Trans-Sierra California."
